Nellore: Prominent music director and Oscar awardee A R Rahman and his family members participated on Monday in the ‘Gandham’ festival of Kasumuru Mastanvali Darga in Venkatachalam mandal of Nellore district. Devotees made a beeline for securing ‘Gandham’---distributed by religious head Arifullah Hussaini Fateh from Kadapa---and witnessing the event on its concluding day. Earlier, ‘Gandham’ was taken out in a procession to the dargah from Chandan Mahal. The police made tight security arrangements keeping in view the clash in the past between Arifullah and the dargah in-charges.
