Couple promoting martial arts

Chirala (Guntur district): A couple in this small town are staging a dazzling martial arts performance. They are getting rounds of applause from everyone including film stars.

Shankar and Bhramaramba may provide a perfect example of harmonious married life. There were instances when the neighbours of Shankar took him to task when he acted as if he beat up his wife. The neighbours later realised that Shankar, working in handloom industry, is actually experimenting on his wife with the martial arts he learnt.

Shankar tried to rope in students to teach martial arts. But none in the town came forward to learn. So he decided to enlist the help of his wife to demonstrate his art. Bhramaramba with a smile agreed to follow in the footsteps of her husband.

He is now giving demonstrations not only in Chirala but also everywhere in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states. Film artiste, who saw the demonstrations given by the couple, reportedly complimented them.

Shankar acts as if he is thrashing his wife. But the smile on her face does not fade. Later, he places a coconut on the head of his wife and swishes a sword in the air before striking the nut with it. Afterwards, he makes her sleep on a table with protruding nails on it. He then places ice blocks on her and break them into pieces.

These terrifying acts are really scary to watch.
