Just four months left for the first anniversary of AP bifurcation and amidst daily brick bats from Telangana leaders, the Chandababu government is left with no options but to shift working base from Hyderabad to temporary capital in and around Vijayawada.

Naidu has chosen a senior journalist to be the liaison officer of the CRDA and take position there from the next month itself to coordinate efforts for speedy implementation of government establishments. Naidu has given an agenda to a private builder to install temporary capital in 80 days at a cost of over Rs 200 crore.
Satyavani Projects and Consultants Private Limited, selected to design the master plan of the temporary capital’s buildings has been asked to design the buildings over 5 to 6 lakh square feet as Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is very keen to shift some important offices from Hyderabad to the temporary capital by June 8, when his Government completes one year in office after the bifurcation of the state.
Andhra Pradesh state government is considering the construction of Capital Complex Sector by 2019 in 600 hectares. Already, Municipal and Urban Development department has submitted the estimated costing for the first-phase construction of AP Capital at a whopping Rs 1,125 Crore for the Assembly and Council alone. For secretariat, the cost estimates are Rs 1,001 Crore and Rs 90 Crore each for building Raj Bhavan, CM Residence, Camp Office respectively.
The Capital Complex boxes would be located at at a elevated hilly area. The models of the buildings and the capital city were showcased physically and also by a video recently by the Singapore company online to CMO. Chandababu Naidu has presented a copy of the designs to Union urban affairs minister Venkaiah Naidu recently with a request to expedite funds .
