Mystery Shrouds Death of Children. Mystery shrouds the death of two children within a span of a few hours in Dadireddypalli village of Kamalapuram mandal in Kadapa district during the last two days. Navyasri and Mahidhar, children of Munibhaskar and Sunita, had not fallen sick.

Suddenly on Thursday night, Mahidhar died under mysterious circumstances. In the early hours of Friday, Navyasri, who was suffering from diarrhoea, succumbed while undergoing treatment in a hospital at Tirupati. The deaths have shocked the villagers. Parents of the children refused to speak to the media. According to one version doing the rounds, they might have died of food poisoning, after having meals at a local Anganwadi centre.
However, 20 children who had the same food were not affected. Another version said they might have accidentally consumed medicine meant for sheep.
