On Monday, the AP government began the capital works in the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) villages with AP capital CRDA officials receiving consent letters from the farmers. Mr. Srikanth, CRDA commissioner said that the cheques amounting to Rs 28 lakh was being paid to the farmers as first instalment from the compensation promised by the government after which the lands will be taken into possession by the government.
