Join hands to protect your rights
May Day was celebrated by Workers\' Unions and political parties bodies across the city on Friday The leaders called upon the workers to join hands to protect their rights. At the Congress headquarters in Gandhi Bhavan, Labour Minister Danam Nagender, PCC President Botsa Satyanarayana and various leaders of Trade Union bodies participated in the celebrations.

Hyderabad: May Day was celebrated by Workers' Unions and political parties bodies across the city on Friday The leaders called upon the workers to join hands to protect their rights. At the Congress headquarters in Gandhi Bhavan, Labour Minister Danam Nagender, PCC President Botsa Satyanarayana and various leaders of Trade Union bodies participated in the celebrations.
Speaking on the occasion, Botsa said that the Congress Government was committed for the welfare of workers. He also announced that the government has decided to upgrade the ESI Hospital from 500 beds to 1,000 beds. At NTR Trust Bhavan, headquarters of TDP, N Chandrababu Naidu participated in the celebrations along with trade union leaders.
The celebrations were also held on a grand scale at CPI and CPM party offices with the call for workers to unite and fight for their demands. May Day was also celebrated at YSRCP Central office with party Honorary President YS Vijayamma and other leaders taking part in the event.
The RBI Employees Union took out an impressive rally in the city. The AITUC members took out a rally in Bellampalli of Adilabad district. Singareni Collieries Employees Union (Sikasa) celebrated the Day with a show of strength. Huge rallies were taken out by CPI, AITUC in Visakhapatnam and Anakapalle. Rallies were taken out in Ongole and Ananthapur as well.
