Hyderabad: Thallada in Khammam district received seven cm of rainfall on Wednesday as isolated rain occurred in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema. The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in cm were: Andhra Pradesh: Chintapalle, Mulakalapalle 4 each, Kuppam 3, Kothagudem, Bheemadevarpalle, Bhadrachalam, Burgampadu and Manuguru 2 each.


The Met office forecast thunderstorm with isolated hail/squall in north coastal Andhra Pradesh on May 9. Isolated rain or thundershowers may occur in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana during the next four days.On Wednesday, the maximum temperatures were largely below normal at one or two places in Telangana, below normal at a few places in south coastal AP and at one or two places in Telangana.


Hanmakonda and Nizamabad recorded the highest maximum temperature of 42 degrees Celsius. Maximum temperatures: On Wednesday the maximum temperatures rose at one or two places in coastal AP and changed slightly in Rayalaseema. They were below normal at one or two places in coastal AP and appreciably below normal at one or two places in Rayalaseema. The highest maximum temperature of 40 degrees C was recorded in Vijayawada and Kurnool.

The other recordings of maximum temperatures in Andhra Pradesh were: Bapatla 35, Kakinada 37, Kalingapatnam 34, Kavali 36, Machilipatnam 36, Nandigama 39, Narsapur 36, Nellore 37, Ongole 37, Jangamaheswarapuram 39, Tuni 37, Vijayawada 40, Visakhapatnam AP 36, Anantapur 39, Arogyavaram 35, Kadapa 38, Kurnool 40 and Tirupati 38.Telangana: Adilabad 39, Bhadrachalam 39, Hakimpet 36, Hanamkonda 42, Hyderabad 39, Mahabubnagar 41, Medak 39, Nalgonda 39, Nizamabad 42 and Ramagundam 41.
