Land Acquisition GO issued by AP Govt

A GO (No. 166) has been issued by the AP Government on Thursday for land acquisition in the Capital city region. While the farmers refused to hand over their lands for the construction of AP Capital City, however, according to the GO, the land will now be acquired under the provisions of the Land Acquisition Act.

Over 800 acres of land was denied by the farmers who approached the High Court but with the GO, the land is expected to be acquired by the government. From May 15, the land acquisition GO will come into force.
