Visakhapatnam: Human Resource Development Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao here on Saturday early morning selected and released the question paper code ‘Set AW’ for the Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET) for admission into professional courses of MBA and MCA.


Among others, Anakapalli MP Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao, Chairman of Andhra Pradesh Council for Higher Education Prof L Venugopala Reddy, Andhra University Vice Chancellor Prof G S N Raju, Rector Prof E A Narayana and Registrar Prof V Umamaheswara Rao were also present at the release of test code.

Later, the Minister said admissions would be given basing on merit in the entrance tests being conducted systematically in the State. He said there were 15,850 seats in 221 MCA colleges and 40,360 seats in 407 MBA colleges in the State. The ICET results will be declared on May 28. Results of all entrance tests were being released ahead of scheduled dates.


The Minister said efforts were under way to declare the results of EAMCET-15 on May 21, DSC results on June 1 and the SSC results very soon and yearly academic calendar would also be released soon. The EAMCET counseling would be conducted in the first week of June and merit students would encouraged to pursue engineering or medicine studies within the State.Of the total 78,758 candidates, 72,182 attended to the test across the State registering 91.65 per cent of attendance and in all the centres.
