With 71 houses in the village, the compensation paid by the then government in 2008 was Rs 1.55 lakh per house and Rs 1.10 lakh per acre to the villagers.


But stating that the compensation was not enough, the affected villagers continued to stay in their houses since then and are seeking a revised package for compensation according to the increased rates of lands and houses. The Polavaram project right canal will be passing through the village due to which the houses were demolished.
