108 Ambulance Services strike called off

After a 11 day indefinite strike by the‘108’ ambulance service staff under the Telangana 108 employees Welfare Association, the services are back in flow with the Health Minister C Laxma Reddy assuring a hike of Rs.1,000 pm immediately

The Health Minister not only convinced the management to take back the 70 employees who had been sacked but also informed the employees that the wages during the strike period would be given to them.

Following the Health Minister’s assurances, the strike was called off by the 108 ambulance service run by the GVK-Emergency Management and Research Institute (EMRI).
