AP govt transfers Intelligence Chief AR Anuradha over failure

In a latest development, the Andhra Pradesh Government on Monday transferred intelligence chief AR Anuradha and appointed Vigilance and Enforcement additional DG. According to reports, AP CM Chandrababu Naidu was reportedly unhappy with Anuradha for failing to alert the Government about the cash-for-vote scam.

AR Anuradha who is a Tamilian, is the first woman intelligence chief. In place of Anurahda, the government has appointed Vijayawada commissioner AB Venkateswara Rao.

There were reports that Chandrababu Naidu had expressed displeasure at Anuradha during a meeting for failing to alert AP over TRS moves in trapping TDP leader Revanth Reddy. Speculations were rife that Chandrababu had decided to sack Anuradha soon after the police nabbed Revanth Reddy. However, it was put on hold for a month.
