Rajahmundry: The self-help groups which set up stalls in the DWCRA bazaar during Godavari Pushkaralu have done good business to the tune of Rs 1.1 crore, Minister for Rural Development and Housing Kimidi Mrunalini said here on Saturday. Addressing newsmen at the Godavari Pushkaralu Main Media Centre at the Arts College campus, she said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated 151 stalls on the eve of the Pushkaralu on July 13 at 8 30 pm.

There were 54 stalls each for handicrafts and handlooms, 24 for food and 42 others. “When they came here they were worried, how they'd be able to sell their products. But today they are happy having done some brisk business. A girl told me that she had brought pickles with an investment of Rs 2 lakhs and now she was returning with Rs.4 lakh," she said.
