Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister K E Krishna Murthy on Thursday said that the errors in land records and the encroachment of forest, endowments and Wakf lands would be identified in the ‘Mee Intiki-Mee Bhoomi (Your land to Your home) meetings to be launched on August 10 in all villages in the State.


Addressing a press here, the Deputy CM, who also holds Revenue portfolio, said under the programme, farmers have been requested to verify their land records and if any errors are found, they would be rectified in the meetings. The corrected details of land records would be mentioned in ‘Mee Bhoomi’ ( your land) portal launched recently by the government to provide information on land records to the people.


He said 450 ETS (Electronic Tracking Systems) would be purchased at a cost of Rs 20 crore to complete the long-pending survey of the land in the State. The Revenue department already procured 273 machines. Referring to the performance of the Registrations and Stamps department, Krishna Murthy said the department could earn only Rs 2,837 crore out of Rs 3.304 crore revenue target in 2014-15. This year, the government targets to generate Rs 3,500 crore through land sales and other mode of transactions.
