Jagan appoints party observers for districts

New in-charges to hold regular meets with district leaders, submit monthly reports on party activities

Hyderabad: The YSR Congress Party , which remained a non-cadre political organisation in Andhra Pradesh, got into action mode to strengthen the party at grass-root level . Party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy on Sunday appointed senior leaders as party observers to all districts in Andhra Pradesh. The leaders were instructed to study the reasons for not becoming a strong political party at village level and suggest the steps to be taken to strengthen the party with the involvement of all sections of people in future.

Jagan’s close aide and party general secretary V Vijaya Sai Reddy has been appointed as observer to Visakhapatnam district, R V S S K Ranga Rao (Srikakulam), Dharmana Krishnadas ( Vizianagarm), D Prasada Rao (East Godavari), P Subhash Chandra Bose ( West Godavari), P Ramachadnra Reddy (Krishna), Botcha Satyanarayana ( Guntur), DC Govind Reddy ( Prakasham), YV Subba Reddy ( Nellore), A Venkata Rami Reddy ( Kurnool), Y S Avinash Reddy, M Nagarjuna and Suresh Babu ( Kadapa), P Mithun Reddy ( Anantapur) and P Ravindranath Reddy (Chittoor) were asked to look after the party affairs in the district allotted to them.

The newly-appointed observers would hold regular meetings with district leaders and bring organisational changes if required. As a first step, the party chief will hold a meeting with all observers and chalk out plans to make success Andhra Pradesh bandh called by YSR Congress on special status to the residuary state on August 29. Party leaders said that the observers have been asked to submit monthly reports on the activities of the party in their respective districts.
