A major train mishap was averted in Anantapur district on Monday as the Tirupati-Guntakal passenger train bogies got detached mid-way during the journey. The driver did not notice the missing bogies until the train reached Guntakal and immediately took the train back, re-attaching it with the left out bogies.
Another incident was averted in Srikakulam district as the train tracks were found broken at Palavalasa.
