AP Agri Minister tours parts of Nellore, says 150 staff will assess damage
Agriculture Minister P Pulla Rao visited the flood-affected areas in Gudur, Naidupet and other places on Sunday and said they will be engaging 150 employees for loss assessment in the district.

Further, Civil Supplies Minister P Sunitha conducted a review with Civil Supplies Commissioner P Jayalakshmi, Collector M Janaki, Joint Collector and other senior officials and suggested to them to deploy 300 trucks and 150 labourers for shifting the relief material to all flood-hit villages in the district. Stocks would be shifted from warehouses at Vedayapalem, Kovur and Allipuram and the Minister directed them to take care of their protection as they would be diverted to black market if neglected.
She visited Vedayapalem stock point and inspected the stock position along with officials. In all, 3.2 lakh affected families and 4,000 weavers would get the benefit, she said. Further, the district received heavy rainfall again on Saturday night and also on Sunday. Balayapalli in Gudur division received 9.5 cm, Venkatagiri 6 cm, Kota 7 cm, Rapur 5 cm, Dakkili 4 cm and Pellakur received 2.5 cm on Sunday. NH to have diversion for 800 mt Traffic from two sides was allowed on the National Highway at Manubole.
However, Transport Minister Sidda Raghava Rao directed the officials to get ready for diversion for a minimum of 800 mt at all three beaches to meet the huge traffic demand on the important highway. He said breach at Manubole necessitates a diversion of minimum of 300 mt and another 500 mt at other parts where the highway received breaches. He has been monitoring the works personally and said he would take care of restoration of traffic in a full-fledged way as the Chief Minister directed them to be on the job.
