District Collector Siddharth Jain has instructed the officials concerned here on Saturday, to make fool-proof arrangements for President Pranab Mukherjee’s visit to Tirupati on December 25. He directed them to prepare a road map for attending their duties during the President’s visit.

Jain asked officials of the Roads and Building department to take measures for setting up barricades along the roads from Renigunta to Tirumala for averting traffic congestion and to ensure smooth passage of the President’s convoy.
The Transco officials should be vigilant in providing uninterrupted power supply during the President’s visit besides keeping the standby generators in case of unexpected power outage. He instructed the DMHO to keep medical teams and ambulance services ready.
