The State government is planning to issue notification of draft master plan for development of Amaravati capital on December 30. Giving details of Capital Region Development Authority review meeting, Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana said that they would discuss with farmers on minor changes in master plan before issuing notification on draft master plan as per the directions of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. He said farmers would get 30 days time to raise their objections if any on the draft master plan as per CRDA Act. The Minister said plots would be allotted to farmers who offered their lands to capital by the end of February. He said after receiving draft master plan they have to plug mark the sites and distribute necessary certificates to farmers. He said a GO would be issued soon on packages of island lands and assigned lands. GREEN FIELD AIRPORT: The Minister said the State government decided to develop a Greenfield airport within proposed outer ring road around the capital. He said the eight-line ORR measuring 210.1 km covers 89 villages. He said that the government decided to develop the greenfield airport within ORR to provide easy access to people of Vijayawada, Guntur, Tenali and Mangalagiri. Narayana said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu discussed with Union Minister Gadkari during his recent visit to the city on the proposed ORR. He said that Additional Commissioner of CRDA Mallikharjuna was appointed to pursue the Greenfield airport issue by discussing with Airport Authority of India officials as they have to suggest suitable site as per the wind directions and hills.

He said that three places were identified and the AAI officials have to give technical clearance for green field airport after conducting necessary inspection. Employment opportunities to children of capital region farmers: The Minister said that the CRDA has been offering skill development programme for children of farmers who offered lands under land pooling for capital development. He said 113 engineering graduates were provided skill development training and the government has arranged interviews by several companies to recruit the candidates on Wednesday. He said skill development training provided to undergraduates in herbal products, embroidery and jute bags manufacturing as part of self employment programme.
