KGH staff deprived of salaries

In all, 240 outsourcing employees of Kakinada Government Hospital (KGH) are deprived of salaries for the last seven months. The authorities had just paid one month salary recently in the last eight months.

Kakinada: In all, 240 outsourcing employees of Kakinada Government Hospital (KGH) are deprived of salaries for the last seven months. The authorities had just paid one month salary recently in the last eight months.

According to sources, among these are 100 women and rest are men. They offer services in more than 30 wings in the hospital in various capacities such as audiologists, drivers, electricians, junior assistants, lab analysts, pharmacists and in other categories. Their monthly salary varies from Rs 6,000 to Rs 12,000. They were inducted through Vikasa Agency, which functions under the supervision of Collector H Arun Kumar.

When contacted medical superintendent of KGGH on the issue, Dr. P Venkata Buddha said that they were yet to get budgetary allocations for the purpose from the government.
