While the AP Government is planning to build a temporary Secretariat in Vijayawada, the land however belongs to the CRDA near Mangalagiri and the real estate businessmen are expressing their distress over it.
As the government plans to construct structures with 6 lakh square feet with the cost of Rs 5,000 per square feet, the real estate businessmen panned the plan stating that the same structure could be built at Rs 3,000 per square feet. The Government will be spending Rs 300 crore for construction of secretariat from which Rs 150 crore loan would be taken from Hudco. A GO on the construction of the temporary secretariat would be issued in two days.
