Raising their voice agaianst the officials, they urged the latter to solve problmes relating to the the agriculture and civil supplies departments at the Zilla Parishad general body meeting here on Tuesday.
Zilla Parishad chairperson Ch Dhanalaxmi, Minister for Labour K Atchannaidu and Whip K Ravi Kumar were present at the meeting. Speaking on the occasion, Palasa TDP MLA
G Shyama Sundar Sivaji demanded assurance from the agriculture department officials on payment of compensation to the farmers whos crop were damaged during the Hudhud cyclone in 2014. YSRCP Pathapatnam MLA K Venkataramana alleged that the crop cutting machines, which were supplied to a few beneficiaries at subsidy price in his segment, were sold by the beneficiaries for better price.
Therefore, the purpose of the government is defeated with this incident, he pointed out. In turn, the Minister directed the joint director of agriculture department to recover the machines in five days.
TDP MLC K Pratibha Bharathi alleged that gas dealers are collecting Rs 3,500 for per connection which is Rs 800 more than the government rate and the civil supplies department officials failed to check it. Responding to it, the Whip directed the civil supplies district manager to display the gas connection price on the board at their outlets.
