For the first time in the Information and Public Relations department’s history, smart accreditation cards were distributed to journalists by Minister Palle Raghunatha Reddy and District Collector Kona Sasidhar here on Friday. The cards have quick response code and holograms.
Anantapur: For the first time in the Information and Public Relations department’s history, smart accreditation cards were distributed to journalists by Minister Palle Raghunatha Reddy and District Collector Kona Sasidhar here on Friday. The cards have quick response code and holograms.
Addressing the function, Palle said smart accreditation cards were being given to journalists on the lines of identity cards issued by corporate institutions in all districts. The TDP government, he stated, had constituted accreditation committees in districts after assuming office, accommodating representatives of all journalists’ unions in a democratic manner.
The Minister complimented Additional Director of the department P Thimmappa for evolving special accreditation cards for Anantapur district. The Collector, who is also chairman of the accreditation committee, handed some cards to journalists.
Officials of the department and journalists conveyed New Year greetings to Palle and Sashidhar. Representatives of the electronic media organisations were present.
