Kakinada: In what can be termed as a heinous branch of the call money scam, a 28-year-old mother of two, alleged call money traders’ role in forcing her into flesh trade in Bahrain. She said that she was assured of employment in Bahrain by two traders, who sold her to a brothel. According to Kurukuri Rajeswari (28), a native of Elakolanu village in Rangampeta madal of East Godavari, two call money traders, V Ramakrishna and Ch Ratnam of G Mamidada village in Pedapudi mandal, sent her to Bahrain to work as a domestic servant in July 2014, by lending Rs 1lakh and took signatures on blank promisory notes.

After working for few days as domestic servant she was sold to a brothel house at an unknown place. Rajeswari said that she was confined to a house and was forced to work as a flesh trader for more than a year. “Unable to bear the harassment, I managed to escape from the place and sought the help of local police,” she said fighting back her tears. Rajeswari said that an NGO from Philippines came to her rescue and sent her back to India by providing an air ticket to Hyderabad in November 2015. After reaching her native, she along with her husband Haribabu met AP Vikalangula Corporation, Chairman G Koteswara Rao and demanded action against the call money traders.

Speaking to The Hans India, Koteswara Rao affirmed that he would represent the issue to district SP for appropriate action. He also advised the people not to fall prey to such gullible people assuring employment overseas. When contacted Peddapuram Sub Division Police Officer (SDPO) Rajasekhar said that the issue was referred to them by the State Human Rights Commission and an inquiry report was sent to the commission.
