Accompanied by Eluru MP Maganti Venkateswara Rao (Babu), she inaugurated the Chintalapudi Zone Boys Sports Meet in Zilla Parishad High School at Kamavarapukota village.

Kamavarapukota: Minister for Mines Peethala Sujatha on Wednesday said that the government was ready to conduct national sports meet in the state in 2019. Accompanied by Eluru MP Maganti Venkateswara Rao (Babu), she inaugurated the Chintalapudi Zone Boys Sports Meet in Zilla Parishad High School at Kamavarapukota village.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the government was giving much priority for the development of sports in the state. She called upon the students to achieve their goals in the sports arena. Maganti Venkateswara Rao said that the school children should develop their skills in their games and sports. The government would give encouragement to the sportspersons in the state, he added.

The Sports Meet zonal president Ranga Prasad said that the sports meet would conclude on January 8. ZPTC member Ghanta Sudheer Babu, Mandal Parishad president Maddikota Subbalakshmi, sarpanch Ramesh, MPDO K Santaram, Sports Meet committee secretary SV Ranga Rao and others participated in the inaugural programme.
