Kakinada: AP Kapu Welfare Corporation director and TDP state general secretary Yerra Venugopal Rayudu advised former minister and Kapunadu leader Mudragada Padmanabham to develop basic knowledge on Section 30 of Police Act and then speak about his proposed meeting at Tuni. In a rejoinder to Mudragada’s press release on Tuesday, he spoke to this newspaper on Wednesday and gave clarification on the allegations.

Rayudu revealed that when Section 30 was in force, those who intend to hold public meets or rallies should obtain permission from the appropriate authority. It was not that way Mudrgada thought as ban or withholding the rights of individuals and organizations in the conduct of public meets. If the turnout would be large as Mudragada had revealed, the venue had to be cleared by appropriate authority, he said.

He clarified that the state government had formed Kapu Welfare Corporation and appointed seven directors and chairman who took charge just a day ago. Kapu social section should realise that the TDP would implement the election promises and there was no going back on it, Rayudu clarified.
