`2,000 cr earmarked for rural infrastructure: Chinarajappa

Kakinada: Deputy Chief Minister N Chinarajappa said CC roads and construction of drains will be taken up at a cost of Rs 2,000 crore in all the villages in the State. “The funds are being mobilised from 14th Finance Commission and MGNREGS at Rs 1,000 crore each.

Taking part in the Janmabhoomi – Maa Vooru programme at Madhavapatnam in Kakinada suburbs on Sunday, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the TDP government is making all-out efforts to develop infrastructure in the State, with emphasis on rural infrastructure.

Chinarajappa revealed that the government will soon release funds for waiving the loans of farmers and women SHGs in the State. He stated that the government has launched Talli Bidda Express vehicles for the benefit of the pregnant women.

The Deputy Chief Minister along with Kakinada rural MLA P Ananta Lakshmi organised ‘Samoohika Seemantam’ to pregnant women. Earlier, Chinarajappa laid foundation stone for CC roads in Madhavapatnam village. Kakinada RDO B R Ambedkar, Samarla Kota MRO Sunil Babu and others attended the programme.
