Garikapati Raja Rao birth centenary fete

Kurnool: The Andhra Pradesh Praja Natya Mandali will organise the birth centenary of eminent artiste Garikapati Raja Rao on February 2 in a befitting manner. Speaking at the district executive committee meeting of Praja Natya Mandali here on Saturday, its general secretary Velpula Nagaraju lauded the rich contribution of Garikapati to the growth of the cultural organisation.

The artiste with a social commitment strove to enlighten the rural masses in the undivided AP through folk arts and fought against evils in society, he said. Praja Natya Mandali district in-charge Rasool, leaders K Nagaraju, KT Gurudu, Saraswati, Varalakshmi and others attended the meeting.
