Youth drowns in river

A youth met a watery grave in Tungabhadra river on Friday. According to police, Venugopal (19) of Raichur in Karnataka came to visit Mahanandiswara temple along with nine of his friends.
Mahanandi (Kurnool): A youth met a watery grave in Tungabhadra river on Friday. According to police, Venugopal (19) of Raichur in Karnataka came to visit Mahanandiswara temple along with nine of his friends.
Later, they went to Tungabhadra river for a boat ride. Venugopal accidentally fell into the river and drowned during the boat ride. His body was retrieved from the river on Saturday after a day’s search.
