Elaborate arrangements have  been made for the convenience of the public assembling at the Beach Road to watch the International Fleet Review, said Collector Dr N Yuvaraj, who held a high-level review meeting with the officials of Navy, police, health, GVMC and revenue at the Dr YVS Murthy Auditorium here on Wednesday.

Visakhapatnam: Elaborate arrangements have been made for the convenience of the public assembling at the Beach Road to watch the International Fleet Review, said Collector Dr N Yuvaraj, who held a high-level review meeting with the officials of Navy, police, health, GVMC and revenue at the Dr YVS Murthy Auditorium here on Wednesday.

He said enclosures have been created on the beach and one tahsildar would supervise five such encloseures and panchayat secretaries would be manning each enclosure. They will be supported by health department officials and police personnel. Each enclosure will have drinking water facility and sanitation bin.

District medical and health officer Dr J Sarojini has been asked to supervise the health officials and workers to handle all the emergency needs. He also directed the corporate and King George Hospital to be ready to handle all exigencies.

He said for the benefit of public, LED screens have been set up for live coverage of events. Four screens installed at VUDA Park, two each at the RK Beach and Central Park near RTC Complex, one each at Gurajada Kalakhetram, Lumbini Park, AS Raja Grounds, Sivaji Park , Collectorate, Swarnabharathi Indoor Stadium, Dr VS Krishna College, AVN College, police stadium, Tenneti Park, Lawson’s Bay and Jagadamba Junction.
