Talking to reporters on the hospital premises here on Saturday, Gopala Krishna said that Dr R Sasank, MD (Path), principal of Siddhartha Medical College would inaugurate the CME programme.

He said that most of the people in society had an opinion that the ‘Blood Bank’ was a place, which gathers the blood from the donor and supplied it for blood transfusion of the needy.

Transfusion Medicine is a branch of medicine that is connected with transfusion of blood and its components. Aayush Hospitals, with the state-of-the-art equipment, is offering advancement medical treatments to the patients with 24/7 availability, he said.

Sunil B Rajadhyaksha, specialist in transfusion medicine at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, Sundar Periyavan, plasma therapy specialist at NIMHANS, Bangalore and Dr Vijay Kumawat of Citizens Hospital, Hyderabad would participate in the CME programme and highlight the importance of transfusion medicine during emergency, Gopala Krishna added.

The Aayush Hospitals hospital management committee vice-chairman, Dr PSS Chowdary, medical superintendent Dr KLV Prasad, CME organising secretary Dr Padma Parvathaneni were present at the news conference.
