Tirupati: Congress activists led by party State Joint Secretary R Sridevi staged a protest, wearing black badges at Ambedkar Statue here on Tuesday condemning the alleged remarks of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu against scheduled castes.
Speaking on the occasion, Sridevi said that it was reprehensible that a person like Naidu holding a post of a Chief Minister is hurting the sentiments of Dalits. She said that the same Naidu, who came to power by wooing Kapus and Dalits, is now turned against them.
Seeking an unconditional apology from Naidu, she demanded booking a case against him if he failed to do so. Congress activists Prabhakar, Savithramma, Santhi and others were also present.
