In a major blow to YSR Congress Party in Andhra Pradesh, four MLAs are all set to join the ruling party soon. The TDP has been facing major jolts in Telangana in the form of defections and now the YSRCP is also expected to suffer a similar fate in Seemandhra.
The reports that YSRCP leader and Jammalamadugu MLA Adinarayana Reddy has been trying hard to join the TDP were there for over past four months, however, he neither gave any clarity so far nor condemned it. But the the rumours will be laid to rest today as Adinarayana Reddy was called to Vijayawada for discussion.
Adinarayana Reddy has been facing stiff opposition from Ramasubba Reddy. Sources say that TDP State president Kala Venkata Rao reportedly asked both the leaders to come to Vijayawada to resolve the issues between the two leaders. They are expected to meet AP CM Chandrababu Naidu after meeting with Kala Venkata Rao.
In another development, YS Jagan’s close associate, Nandyal MLA Bhooma Nagireddy reportedly resigned from the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) and is expected to join the TDP along with his daughter, Allagadda MLA Akhila Priya in a day or two.
The rumours gained some credibility as Chandrababu Naidu held a meeting with leaders from Kurnool district including Shilpa Mohan Reddy and his brother to discuss about Bhuma Nagi Reddy joining the party giving strength to speculations that Bhuma's leaving the YSRCP has been confirmed. Unconfirmed reports say that two more MLAS may leave YSRCP if Bhuma Nagireddy quits the YSRCP.
Sources in the TDP confirm that YSRCP MLA Jaleel Khan's entry is almost confirmed and he would join the TDP along with his other colleagues. Rumours about his joining the TDP has been doing the rounds over six months and he has already met the AP CM two times.
The four YSRCP MLAs are expected to part ways with the YSRCP soon and they may join the YSRCP together in the presence of Chandrababu.
