Balayya invites CM for Lepakshi Utsav

Vijayawada: Hindupur MLA and film actor Nandamuri Balakrishna met Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu here on Wednesday. Balakrishna formally invited the Chief Minister to attend the Lepakshi Utsav to be held in Hindupur.

Balakrishna also had a brief chat with Naidu on the party affairs, particularly the defection of legislators from the YSR Congress. Ministers Devineni Umamaheswara Rao and Palle Raghunadha Reddy and MLC Payyavula Kesav were also present during the brief meeting.

Later, emerging out of the Chief Minister’s office, Balakrishna told the media persons waiting outside that the YSR Congress legislators were attracted by the welfare and development programmes of the State government.

He said that the MLAs were joining the ruling party on their own and there was no force from anyone on the legislators to change loyalties.
