Tollywood actor Mohan Babu on Sunday visited slain Paritala Ravi’s native village Venkatapuram in the district and registered the names of the first couple for the mass marriages to be performed by Paritala Memorial Trust in April this year.
Anantpur: Tollywood actor Mohan Babu on Sunday visited slain Paritala Ravi’s native village Venkatapuram in the district and registered the names of the first couple for the mass marriages to be performed by Paritala Memorial Trust in April this year.
The actor drove straight to the village from Bengaluru and paid tributes to Paritala Ravi at the Ravindra Ghat in the village. He was almost reduced to tears recalling his association with the slain leader.
He said that he contemplated visiting the village many times, but could not make it to the village. He said that he visited the village after 10 years.
He appreciated Civil Supplies Minister Paritala Sunitha for implementing the agenda of Paritala Ravinder. He said their son Paritala Sriram is also walking in the footsteps of their father.
He, along with Sunitha, blessed the betrothed couple. He spent with the Paritala family till afternoon and proceeded to Lepakshi to take part in the Lepakshi celebrations.
Civil Supplies Minister Sunitha’s father Kondanna, former MPP Rangayya, mandal TDP convenor Parandham and others were present.
