Tirupati: Lok Satta Party (LSP) district president K Balasubramanyam said that the BJP-led NDA government has failed to fulfil aspirations of people in the newly formed State without allocating funds and sanctioning projects in the Union Budget.

Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, Balasubramanyam said that Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has allocated only Rs 100 crore for Polavaram project as against the requirement of Rs 30,000 crore. The LSP leader stated that he never witnessed such meagre allocations to Andhra Pradesh in the Union Budget.

Balasubramanyam expressed anguish that there was no assurance of special status to AP in the budget. He said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has failed to impress upon the BJP-led NDA government to allocate more funds and projects to the State. He demanded the MPs from State to exert pressure on the Central government for making an announcement on special package to AP.

The LSP leader slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for failing to fulfil promise of sanctioning funds to capital city construction. He said that the LSP would present a memorandum to the Central government seeking fulfillment of promises which were assured to AP. Party city president B Naresh and other leaders were present.
