YSRCP on Tuesday issued a notice of no-confidence motion on against Speaker of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Kodela Sivaprasad Rao. The party MLAs who alleged that Speaker's decision is unilateral and he is obliging the ruling party, handed over the notice to him.

The notice was given to the Speaker over the resolution for his removal under the Rule 71(1) of the procedure and conduct of business in the AP Legislative Assembly.

YSRCP MLA Gadikota Srikanth Reddy said that they waited long enough for the Speaker to change his attitude but looking at the manner the debate on no-confidence motion was conducted on Monday in the Assembly, it was clear that the Speaker was purposely allowing the ruling party MLAs to disrupt YS Jagan's speech repeatedly.

While the YSRCP MLA stated that the party holds the utmost respect for the institution of Speaker, they have no option left other than to bring a no-confidence motion against the Speaker after witnessing the House proceedings.
