YSRCP MLA A Ramakrishna Reddy in the AP legislative Assembly on Tuesday raised the issue of jobs promised to every household in the land-pooling for the construction of the AP Capital, Amaravati.

Responding to the issue, Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana made it clear that the TDP government never promised jobs to every affected household and faulted the YSR Congress party for trying to provoke the people in the capital region.

Reacting strongly against the TDP government, Ramakrishna Reddy said that the government is going back on its word of promised jobs amounting to cheating the youth. With farmers surrendering their lands to the government for the construction of the AP Capital, they hoped that at least one member of their family would get a job along with compensation.

The YSRCP MLA said that while 50,000 youth in the capital region were promised jobs and skill development training, only 113 have been trained but not have been given jobs or stipend. Ramakrishna Reddy further demanded that the youth be given jobs or unemployment pension of Rs. 2,000 per month.
