During a review meeting held with 140 officials of his administration, including secretaries and other HoDs here on Saturday on double digit growth rate, agriculture and other sectors. He said a programme has been chalked out and the Babasaheb’s birthday would be marked with laying of foundation stone for newly-sanctioned houses under various schemes and, inaugurate the houses which were ready-for-occupation.

Naidu said the entire country would be celebrating the birthday of Ambedkar, so the State would take up inauguration of new houses to mark the occasion. For this, officials have already identified 5.8 lakh houses, which are either waiting for foundation stone or inauguration to be occupied by beneficiaries and the housing units have been sanctioned for the poor.

It is a beginning to aim for the government to provide houses to all by 2022, he added. The CM stressed the need to work with commitment for the bright future of the state. The more we develop, the more we need to invest and it is possible only when the officials work with a positive mindset to achieve better results, he said. Though there are no funds with certain departments, Naidu has asked them not to stop working, as funds would be released on priority basis.
