Director of National Atmospheric Research Laboratory (NARL) A Jayaraman inaugurated an interactive travelling exhibition on the theme “Disasters, preparing for the worst” at Regional Science Centre (RSC) here on Wednesday.

Tirupati: Director of National Atmospheric Research Laboratory (NARL) A Jayaraman inaugurated an interactive travelling exhibition on the theme “Disasters, preparing for the worst” at Regional Science Centre (RSC) here on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Jayaraman said that this kind of exhibition would help common man to understand about disasters and how to face such exigencies. He said schools students should know how various kinds of natural disasters and man-made disasters occur and preparedness to take a quick action for minimising loss.
He narrated about a few natural disasters such as earthquake and tsunami and made an appeal to the students to take the fullest opportunity of the exhibition to understand about the issues concerning to the theme and keep a strategy plotted in their mind to avert major damage. KG Kumar, Director of Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum at Bengaluru, was also present. The exhibition will be open to the visitors for about a month at the RSC from morning 10.00 am to evening 6.00 pm including Sundays.
