Gudur: Tirumala-Tirupati Devasthanams Chairman Chadalavada Krishnamurthy said here on Saturday that there was no proposal to increase the price of the famous laddu. There would be no price hike during the next two years, he declared.

Speaking to the media after inaugurating the Sudarshana ticket counter in TTD kalyana mandapam, he stated that steps would be taken to adopt by the TTD temples under the Endowments department where daily pooja is not being performed, and develop them.

The counter, he hoped, would be beneficial for the devotees coming from the North india, as they could book darshan and accommodation tickets. Krishnamurthy said efforts were being made to fully develop Tirumala town with the offerings being made by devotees. More importance was given to commoner’s darshan of Lord Venkateswara.
