Stage set for Bar elections
Necessary arrangements are in place for smooth and peaceful conduct of the Visakhapatnam Bar Association election, being held under the directions of State Bar Council on Monday. Election Officer K Madhusudana Rao told reporters here on Sunday that a total of 2,341 voters will exercise their franchise in the election to be conducted from 10 am to 4.30 pm.

Election Officer K Madhusudana Rao told reporters here on Sunday that a total of 2,341 voters will exercise their franchise in the election to be conducted from 10 am to 4.30 pm.
He said there is a stiff competition for the president post for which Abburi Srinivasa Rao, Bandaru Ramakrishna, Pusarla Srinivasa Rao, N H Akbar and Nadendla Venkata Suman are in the fray. Seven candidates are contesting for vice-president post including Kuppili Muralidhar, four for secretary and four for joint secretary.
For the post of woman representative, D Aruna Kumari is vying with Ch Jagadeesawari. Madhusudana Rao said that severe action would be initiated against those who violate election code during the voting or counting and appealed to all those in the fray to cooperate for smooth poll.
