He was speaking at the party’s 37th Formation Day celebrations organised at the party office here on Wednesday. Haribabu informed that the party was floated as Bharatiya Jana Sangh in 1951, which was later formed as Bharatiya Janata Party in 1980. Irrespective of win or defeats, many party leaders had sacrificed their lives for public service. Former MLC and senior party leader P V Chalapathi Rao said that he has observed a new spirit of encouragement among party leaders and activists which should be continued. He recalled the services of party leaders like V Rama Rao on the occasion. Party MLA P Vishnu Kumar Raju said next year, the party Foundation Day would be celebrated with great enthusiasm.
Presiding over the meeting, city president M Nagendra informed that the party Foundation Day was being celebrated in 122 areas and called upon the party cadres to propagate welfare schemes of the Centre.
