Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party national president N Chandrababu Naidu welcomed the two legislators by wrapping the party towel. The CM said that people have accepted his visionary leadership and voted him to power. “Now, leaders including legislators from other parties were joining his party to support him and his work for the State,” he added.
Naidu called upon the leaders to work for the welfare of the people and development of the State. He said that service to the people should be the only concern of the leaders. As many as 10 legislators have joined TDP from YSRCP, while another MLA Jyothula Nehru from Jaggampet of East Godavari is likely to join the ruling party on April 11.
They are also waiting for some more MLAs as the party has feelers from the YSRCP legislators in Prakasam, Guntur and Krishna, who are likely to come to the ruling party’s fold in the next couple of weeks. Meanwhile, two leaders from Gollapudi of Mylavaram assembly segment, Bommasani Subba Rao and Nimmagadda Venakteswara Rao, have joined the party.
The leaders have strong following in the Mylavaram segment, which is now represented by the Minister for Water Resources, Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao.
