Deputy Chief Minister N Chinarajappa  announced that by 2018 all  roads in rural areas in the state will be converted into CC  roads with the inspiration of  Dr B R Ambedkar. Addressing the gathering  after paying respects  to  his statue at Indrapaelm Bridge on Thursday on the occasion of his 125th birth anniversary, the Deputy CM said that Babasaheb thought that development.

Kakinada: Deputy Chief Minister N Chinarajappa announced that by 2018 all roads in rural areas in the state will be converted into CC roads with the inspiration of Dr B R Ambedkar. Addressing the gathering after paying respects to his statue at Indrapaelm Bridge on Thursday on the occasion of his 125th birth anniversary, the Deputy CM said that Babasaheb thought that development of infrastructure in rural sector was vital for overall development rural India.

“Hence we are firm in effective implementation of this programme,” he said. The Deputy CM said that as part this, year-long celebrations would be organised throughout the state. “This is besides erecting 125 feet statue in 15-acre land in Amravati, in addition to library, study centre and allied facilities to students,” he said.

The Deputy CM also said that the state government already extending Rs 10 lakh for SC social section students under Ambedkar Overseas Vidya Nidhi programme for higher education. ZP Chairman Namana Rambabu, District Collector H Arun Kumar also spoke.
