Four teenagers were handed over appreciation mementos and certificates by Genius Book of Record India and International Wonder Book of Records for their endeavor in writing in ancient scripts (font style) using natural tools. At a programme held at Tagore Memorial Library here on Saturday, the students showcased their skill.

At a programme held at Tagore Memorial Library here on Saturday, the students showcased their skill.

Limra Hand Writing Foundation of Narsaraopet has been imparting skill among the enthusiastic children and youth on how to write in the ancient script (font styles) using natural elements like ink and feathers. Under the guidance of the foundation’s director Sk Kareemullah, their students embarked on this feat.

Ch Bhavya, a 15-year-old girl showcased her talent in writing with finger nail for a non-stop one hour. She chose to write about manuscript while M Sravana Lakshmi, a 14-year-old girl created a record for herself by writing using hen’s feather about seven wonders of the world.

Sk Sharif, a sixteen-year-old boy wrote about the Indian kings on banana leaf using colour that is extracted from banana flower and fried raw rice, with a bamboo stick. M Hitesh, an eleven-year-old wrote about nationality with peacock’s feather. The participants wrote in four different fonts including Gothic and Italian.

Chief national coordinator of International Genius Book of Records B Narendra, AP and Telangana chief coordinator of International Wonder Book of Records G Swarna Sree presented the children with mementos on the occasion.
