EAMCET-2016 goes off peacefully
The Eamcet-2016 was conducted peacefully in the city on Friday amid tight bandobust. Regional Convener Prof T Subrahmanyam informed that the engineering test was conducted in 33 centres in the morning while the medicine stream in 15 centres in the afternoon.

He said of the total candidates of 18,075 applied for the engineering stream, 17,297 attended registering 95.2 per cent and that of the total candidates of 7,519 applied for medical stream, 7,127 have attended registering 94.79 per cent. Though most of the candidates have failed to bring the online application form by affixing a photo with them, they were allowed asking them to submit immediately soon after the exam without troubling them.
Sathya Sai Seva Organisation:
Meanwhile, Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation continued its community service to the EAMCET-16 aspirants and their attendants in the hot sun by providing drinking water, butter milk and biscuits besides providing pandals with seating arrangement in 13 test centres in the city on Friday.
Several office-bearers of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation and women’s volunteers served about 15,000 persons on the occasion, which was their continuous activity, to serve the candidates and parents whenever competitive tests were held. President of AP and Telangana S G Chalam, who visited the centres offering best wishes to the candidates, thanked the district administration for giving permission for rendering service.
