Vijayawada: All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA) State Secretary D Rama Devi inaugurated a summer training camp for children at Patamata Lanka in the city on Tuesday. AIDWA, in association with the United Teachers Federation (UTF), is organising the camp, which will be open till June 10. Classes will be held in Telugu, English and mathematics at the camp to enable students to excel in the three key subjects. Apart from training in music and dance, coaching in chess and carroms will also be given to students.
Speaking on the occasion, the AIDWA State Secretary said the training camp was aimed at bringing out the creativity and hidden talent of students. Focus would be laid on personality development of students. She urged students to utilise their summer vacation in a productive manner. UTF district assistant president S Bhagirathi presided.
