Tirupati: There will be no inconvenience of any sort to locals or pilgrims due to the three-day TDP conclave – Mahanadu, asserted Minister for Municipal Administration P Narayana.

Speaking to press corps here on Tuesday, after inspecting the Mahanadu arrangements at Nehru Municipal High School (NMHS) grounds here, the Minister said that there will be traffic regulation in select centres in the city, from 9 am to 10.30 am and 5 pm to 6 pm, during the three days of the conference - May 27 to 29. “Tirupati Mahanadu will be historic in the sense that it is going to be the stage for many far reaching decisions that are bound to change the economic conditions of the people for better,” he added.

Regarding the arrangements, Narayana said that the aesthetically-decorated venue will be ready by Wednesday. Select main junctions and important centres leading to Mahanadu venue will also be decked giving a festive touch to the pilgrim city. He patted the various committees for completing the preparations in time and termed their efforts as excellent. Party observer, MLC Janardhan said that Mahanadu is a major festival for the leaders and activists and claimed that the party is second to none, when it comes to pro-poor approach. “TDP is a pioneer in introducing Rs 2 kg rice, housing schemes and also giving right to women in property,” he averred.

Former Minister and chairman of food committee for Mahanadu, Galla Aruna Kumari said that daily 27 different delicacies will be served to the delegates, including Seema, Coasta and Telangana varieties.
