Tirupati: The stage is all set for the ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP)’s three-day Mahanadu which will start here in Nehru Municipal High School.

Flurry of activities were seen on Thursday itself in the venue, a day ahead of the beginning of the three-day jamboree of Mahanadu, with party activists from various districts of the two Telugu speaking States and also from other States have already pouring in as well as top leaders one after the other visiting the venue to oversee the final arrangements being made for the conclave.

Party national general secretary Lokesh flanked by Ministers Bojjala Gopalakrishna Reddy, P Narayana, Yeluru MP Maganti Babu, senior leaders Gali Mudhukrishnama Naidu, Galla Arunakumari and others inspected the tastefully decorated stage, sprawling meeting hall, kitchen, food court, media room, photo exhibition and the blood donation camp. Based on his suggestion, the stage managers carried out some changes to strengthen it.

Lokesh after a meeting with the members of various committees separately, talking to media expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made for Mahanadu.

Meanwhile, the TDP cultural wing is busy with rehearsal of the events to be staged during the three-day meet to entertain the delegates.

Chittoor MP and cultural programme committee head N Sivaprasad said that cultural programmes including folk arts with themes highlighting part of programmes and achievements will be staged in the morning before the start of the meeting, lunch break and in the evening after the meet.

Elaborate security arrangements were in place in the city particularly the venue which was virtually brought under the control of the police while senior officials including IG, DIG and six SPs were monitoring the security.
